It is our goal to support local pet owners in keeping their pets when possible.

If you are inquiring about surrendering your personal pet to Five Acres, please fill out the appropriate surrender form below.
Once your form has been reviewed you will be contacted by our intake coordinator about next steps.
PLEASE NOTE: As a smaller shelter in the region, we are not able to take every owner surrender candidate submitted.
We strongly recommend reaching out to other rescues and shelters, as space at Five Acres is limited.
If your pet is accepted into our surrender program, there is an in-person behavioral evaluation and surrender fee required at the time of surrender. Surrender fees will go towards the animal’s medical and shelter needs while in our care.
- Canine surrender fee: $150
- Feline surrender fee: $100
Due to limited intake space, Five Acres does not take in stray animals. If you have found a stray animal, please contact the nearest animal control facility to where the animal was found in case their owners are looking for them.
